Penang Hill

Ascended Penang hill on the steep, slow train. Decended by foot for a couple hours, ending up in the Botanical Gardens where everything was caged up except for the scary monkeys that snarled for my ice cream. I ate it in time for it to lose interest and turn away, but if not, how do they expect tourists to obey the sign "do not feed the monkeys"? I'm loving all the satay, samosas and fruit juices! Starfruit, guava, pineapple, apple... all with a little froth on top :) P

    Sounds so exotic and warm!
But stay away from those nasty monkey's they are evil. When I was in Thailand I met a girl with a small beanie type bandage taped to the top of her head because she was attacked by one. And Ya (I just read the other comments)if you have time to eat bugs.. do it! I want stories.

As for con artists in Thailand.. be careful of the sneaky fortune tellers and tuk tuk drivers that want to take you on city tours or tell you places are closed. Don't get scammed, I did enough for the both of us.

    Keep having a blast!

  3. Yes, I'm being so careful and cynical now that I may be missing out on talking to some really honest people. It's very hard to know who to trust. P
